Used Book Haul March ’24

Well, I just couldn’t stay away from our local library’s book sale. Especially because it’s $5 a bag!!! That’s right. Fill up a plastic grocery bag and pay only $5. Plus the money goes to the library to fill their shelves with updated and newer copies.

So, really I am just helping the library bring in more books to put in people’s hands. How is that bad?

In the video above are the actually copies we picked up. Below are the editions I could find a link for so some of the covers may differ a bit. Same thing, but different.

The Body in the Library By: Agatha Christie

Lessons Learned from My Cat By: Amy Newmark

The Black Cauldron (Chronicles of Prydain #2) By: Lloyd Alexander

The High King (Chronicles of Prydain #5) By: Lloyd Alexander

Empire of the Sun By: J.G. Ballard

One Of Us Is Lying By: Karen M. McManus

Blackbeard’s Ghost By: Ben Stahl

Night of the Twisters By: Ivy Ruckman

The Warded Man (The Demon Cycle #1) By: Peter V. Brett

The Wild Robot (The Wild Robot #1) By: Peter Brown

Hope you find some books that look interesting! Until the next haul…

  1. Dame Agatha! Empire of the Sun! So you are not just into fantasy. I do not know how you can read so many books in a month, but kudos to you for the accomplishment. Unfortunately, I think we have passed reading like we used to, especially in print. What are your next books?

Finally, I’m sorry not to give my name out. I am about to become a teacher (hopefully) and the place I want to teach at is one of those places where any sentence uttered may get one into trouble.

    • Fantasy is my most read genre, but I love to read almost anything! I’m just finishing a thriller by John Case. I have a stack of classics I am dying to dive into. Then, of course, some more fantasy. Good luck becoming a teacher!

    • I am trying to make writing a full-time gig. I’m starting from scratch ad only at the beginning. I’m getting there!

      • If there was one work of yours that you would want me to read, what would it be?

      • Ok, I guess you get a lot of feedback, so I’ll leave you alone. Good luck.
